Paseo del Bosque Trail- Traversing from the north to south edges of the metro area and through the Rio Grande's cottonwood bosque (forest), this is Albuquerque’s premier multi-use trail. This is 16 miles of paved trails, with parking and access points throughout. The trail passes through Central Ave, along Tingley Beach and through the Rio Grande Valley State Park. If you’re interested in some stops along the way, you’ll be delighted to learn that the Rio Grande Nature Center, Albuquerque BioPark, and the National Hispanic Cultural Center are all located along the trail. This trail is also handicap accessible and available to bring your doggies- as long as they are leashed.  Wonderful works of art and loads of wildlife can be seen along your journey. A truly wonderful trail for any level of walker, hiker, biker, or runner.

North Sandia Peak Trail- If you’re looking for an easy trail, with beautiful scenery, than you’ll want to try the North Sandia Peak Trail. This is a 3.7-mile trail that is excellent for bird watching, hiking, and walking and is located near Sandia Park, NM. You’ll encounter stunning views of the Western Canyon, The Shield, the North Peak and The Needle! Your furry buddy is welcome as well, just remember the leash and water bowl!

Three Guns Spring Trail Look- Located in the Sandia Mountains near Tijeras, this moderately challenging trail is a 4.7 mile loop that even includes horseback riding! It’s a beautiful trail to explore with gorgeous flowers and wildlife. This is an unpaved trail, so those needing a steadier ground or with special needs should plan accordingly. This is another trail where your dogs are welcome on their leashes.  We love to bring our furry family members along on our hikes!!
